Job Title: Medical Assistant with Front Desk Duties Employment Type: Part-Time Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our direct primary care office. In this unique role, you will not only provide high-quality patient care but also manage front desk responsibilities. This is a dynamic position that blends clinical and administrative tasks to ensure our practice runs smoothly and our patients receive the best care experience. Clinical Duties: -Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician/nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and treatments within MA scope. -Assist in minor procedures, wound care, and patient education. -Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation. -Support physicians in managing patient follow-ups, lab work, and care coordination. Administrative/Front Desk Duties: -Greet patients warmly upon arrival, manage check-ins, and handle patient intake forms. -Schedule and confirm appointments using practice management software. -Answer phone calls, manage emails, and assist with patient inquiries. -Process payments and manage billing questions. -Ensure patient records are up-to-date and that privacy is maintained according to HIPAA guidelines. -Coordinate referrals, process prior authorizations, and communicate with insurance companies if necessary. Requirements: -Expert at Phlebotomy. -2+ years of MA experience, preferably in a family medicine setting. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and office management software. -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. -Ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing administrative tasks. -Knowledge of HIPAA and basic billing practices is preferred.
