The Role The primary responsibility of Delivery Representative - Helper is responsible for assisting drivers in the delivery truck. You will be delivering orders to our customers by foot in certain areas of New York. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages. What You’ll Do • Must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday, • Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings), • Must be willing to work in any weather condition (heat, rain, snow, etc.), • Ability to complete all basic and recurring training, • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs with the appropriate equipment, • Prior customer service and delivery experience desired, • Comfort /familiarity with basic smartphone operations, • Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team, • Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture What You’ll Bring · At least 18 years of age • Ability to clearly communicate and read in English, • Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently, • Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently, • Knowledge of scanning preferred, • Knowledge of NYC Streets preferred Our Values at FreshDirect We live these values every day: A Passion for our customers Our customers are at the heart of everything we do.
