Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Surgical Services, the Surgical Services Manager is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient surgical service operations in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards and the facility mission, vision and values. Responsibilities include ensuring staffing for the hospital and Outpatient Center operating rooms, assisting with the operating room schedule, overseeing sterile processing, ensuring accurate records of implants and sterile processing, managing supply use and physician marketing. Plans, coordinates and directs all surgical patient care and all related activities of the Operating Room and Sterile Processing in compliance with local, state, federal regulatory standards. Assists with activities such as: Risk Management, Infection Control, Employee Health, Performance Improvement, and Recruitment / Retention. In conjunction with the Director of Surgical Services, the Surgical Services Manager shall assist in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term operational and capital budgets related to clinical services to ensure resources to adequately maintain clinical operations within both facilities. Physical Requirements: May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance. May be expected to push or pull 150-500 pounds with assistance. Work is of medium demand; walking or standing most of the time while on duty. Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required. Optimal auditory acuity required. Manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and instruments or armamentarium is essential to performing assigned duties. Physical conditions are clean, neat and well lit. May be subjected to unpleasant sights and odors, stressful situations, limited radiation, hazardous chemicals, or infectious diseases where judgment as to precautions needed to be taken is essential. Climate control and ambient temperature variances may be experienced and required by patient care and needs of the surgical team. Minimum Qualifications: • 2+ years relevant experience in technical subject, • Must have Security+ or other IAT Level II certification, • Developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to various audiences and to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues, and other stakeholders., • Experience in a technical support role with an understanding of IT equipment, network, and end user devices., • Familiarity with network monitoring tools, and some experience with network switches (port security and understanding of operations). Clearance Requirements: • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly Physical Requirements: • Maintains a regular sedentary position, attends meeting both virtually and in person, constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet and must be willing to travel as needed to support operational demands.
