We are experienced in all areas of the fire protection field including 3D design, fabrication, installation of fire sprinkler systems, maintenance and repair and project management.
Due to continued growth, we are actively seeking qualified applicants for an open Fire Alarm Technician position in our Pleasantville, NJ office.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire alarms.
- Available for on-call duty
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with local and national fire codes and safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed service reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to complete project requirements.
*Qualifications:*
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Licenses or Certifications:*
- Low Voltage License (if applicable)
- Utilize Burglar License
- Valid Driver's License as there is daily travel between customer job sites
*Physical Demands and Work Environment:*
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic)
- Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.
