Overview We are partnered with a nationally recognized, fully integrated architecture, engineering, and construction firm seeking Assistant Project Managers to support a growing portfolio of complex projects across the United States. This role is designed for early-career construction professionals ready to take ownership of defined project scopes while developing toward a Project Manager position. The Assistant Project Manager will work directly with Project Managers and field leadership across procurement, cost control, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, project documentation, and closeout. Role and Responsibilities • Manage assigned scopes of work under the direction of the Project Manager, coordinating activities from procurement through construction and turnover., • Identify and qualify subcontractors and vendors, prepare bid packages and invitations to bid, analyze proposals, and assist with subcontract and purchase order awards., • Participate in design reviews with attention to constructability, scope coordination, cost impacts, and potential changes., • Prepare and maintain project cost information, including estimates, cost codes, commitments, labor reporting, and cost-control documentation., • Coordinate with accounting and project teams on subcontractor and vendor documentation, payment requirements, and project financial controls., • Assist with development and maintenance of project schedules, including short-term look-ahead schedules and construction sequencing., • Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and other project controls required to keep design and construction activities moving., • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams on subcontractor performance, material needs, safety, quality, and day-to-day execution., • Support communication with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors regarding assigned scopes and project requirements., • Assist with change management, project reporting, pay applications, and other client or subcontractor correspondence as assigned., • Support project closeout, including punch-list completion, O&M documentation, inspections, turnover requirements, and final project records. Projects & Scope • Large-scale Advanced Technology and Mission Critical projects, with immediate hiring needs supporting data center construction., • Additional opportunities across Aviation and Aerospace, including advanced manufacturing, assembly, hangar, MRO, and other technically complex facilities., • Data center environments may include large greenfield campuses, phased developments, high-density cooling, resilient power infrastructure, modular/prefabricated systems, and commissioning-intensive scopes., • Candidates with focused experience in MEP, structural, steel, or other major construction scopes can be considered; full-scope GC project management experience is not required at this level., • Projects are fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring close coordination between project management, field operations, design teams, trade partners, and clients. Qualifications and Experience • 2-4 years of construction experience., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or a related field., • Experience supporting procurement, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, or project closeout strongly preferred., • Candidates from field or Superintendent-track backgrounds who want to transition into project management will be considered., • Specialty construction backgrounds, including MEP, structural, steel, and other technical scopes, are also relevant., • Must be comfortable working onsite and relocating to project locations for the duration of an assignment., • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving construction environment. Location • Project-based role with assignments across the United States., • Candidates should expect to temporarily relocate to the project site for the duration of an assignment rather than work remotely from their permanent home location. Company-paid travel home is generally provided approximately once per month.
