Long Island-based design/build firm seeks a detail-oriented Residential Space Planner/Interior Designer with strong technical skills and advanced proficiency in CAP. The ideal candidate can develop functional, field-ready residential layouts and coordinate seamlessly with trades.
Key Requirements:
Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of carpentry, electrical layouts, plumbing constraints, and HVAC planning.
CAD Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Chief Architect, or similar platforms for accurate plans, elevations, and 3D studies.
Lighting Design: Ability to create layered residential lighting plans (ambient, task, accent, decorative).
Furniture & Flow Planning: Skilled at furniture sizing and designing natural, intuitive circulation.
Acoustic Awareness: Familiarity with how sound behaves in residential spaces, including open-plan environments.
Clear Documentation: Able to produce detailed, contractor-ready drawings, schedules, and specifications.
Salary based on experience.
