bdc studios, an extension of the beloved family-run bakery Bizcocho de Colores with over two decades of service, is seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Instructor. We are looking for an individual to share their expertise in pastry arts, offering engaging and educational experiences to our community. As a Pastry Instructor, you will be responsible for: • Developing and delivering comprehensive pastry classes and workshops., • Teaching fundamental to advanced techniques in baking, decorating, and dessert creation., • Providing hands-on guidance and constructive feedback to students of varying skill levels., • Maintaining a clean, organized, and inspiring learning environment., • Curating class materials and ensuring the availability of necessary ingredients and equipment., • Contributing to a positive and creative atmosphere within our studio and small coffee shop. We are looking for someone with a strong background in pastry arts, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to educate and inspire. What You'll Do • Pack and prepare event supplies at our warehouse, • Set up and break down the coffee cart on-site at events, • Serve coffee and provide customer service during the event, • Clean up warehouse space after events, • Drive the company van to and from events What We're Looking For • Reliability and punctuality above all, • Valid driver's license and comfort driving a van in NYC traffic, • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills, • Prior barista or coffee experience, • Queens-based strongly preferred (easier access to warehouse and job sites), • Availability for events primarily in Manhattan, occasionally Long Island, • Ability to lift and carry event equipment
