Location: This is an on-site position based in Poughkeepsie, New York. Join a collaborative office environment where you'll work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and title companies to keep transactions moving efficiently. Note: Candidates must have at least 3 years of real estate law experience. Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions is highly preferred. Job Description • Assist attorneys with commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract through closing., • Prepare and review closing documents, deeds, transfer documents, and related real estate filings., • Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, and government agencies., • Order and review title reports, surveys, and payoff statements., • Maintain transaction files and ensure deadlines are met., • Prepare closing packages and assist with post-closing matters., • Conduct due diligence and gather necessary documents for transactions., • Communicate with clients and third parties to facilitate smooth and timely closings., • Support attorneys with administrative and transactional matters as needed. Qualifications • 3+ years of real estate law experience., • Experience with residential and/or commercial real estate transactions., • Strong organizational and multitasking skills., • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously., • Excellent communication and client service skills., • Experience preparing closing documents and handling transaction coordination., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems.
