Eye & Son World is looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused, and reliable Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while assisting clients with eyewear selection, measurements, fittings, and other optical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses, frames, lenses, and other optical products based on their needs and preferences
- Take accurate measurements and assist with frame fitting and adjustments
- Explain lens options, coatings, features, pricing, and proper eyewear care
- Read and interpret prescriptions accurately
- Assist with dispensing and releasing completed eyewear orders
- Ensure eyewear is properly fitted, comfortable, and meets customer requirements
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments when needed
- Maintain accurate customer and order records
- Assist with inventory management, product displays, and stock replenishment
- Process sales transactions and ensure accurate payment handling
- Provide professional after-sales service and address customer concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical area
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily store operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Optician, Optical Assistant, or Eyewear Sales Associate is preferred
- Knowledge of eyeglasses, lenses, frames, and basic optical terminology
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to perform accurate measurements
- Friendly, professional, and approachable
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Sales experience is an advantage
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required
