We are a company that is also responsible to its communities and environment. JOB SUMMARY: Deliver the company’s products to various destinations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Do pre and post trip truck inspections and report any and all vehicle maintenance issues. Enter truck inspections into Safety Chain. · Maintain the electronic driver log accurately on a daily basis. · Ensure proper documentation is available in the vehicle prior to operation. · Ensure vehicle is equipped with e-z pass and with fuel when in use. · Ensure safe, timely and quality delivery of company products to prescribed destinations. · Return all company equipment to the plant as required. · Load and unload trucks as required. · Check and count all loads for accuracy of billing and sign the necessary documents. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: · Ensure trucks are kept clean and in a food safe condition. · Report any issues with the trucks that will require maintenance such as physical damage. · Report to work on time and prepared for motor vehicle operation. · Assist in special projects when use of the Forklift is essential. · Maintain an excellent record of safe driving and always abide by the rules of the road. · Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
