Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers! The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: • Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required., • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies., • Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight., • Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight., • Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed., • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule. Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas., • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Collects money (cash or checks) where required., • Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors. Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured., • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required., • Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements., • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork., • Performs other related duties as assigned. Inventory, Distribution & Billing Support • Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies between accounting and inventory systems., • Review receiving reports and supporting documentation to identify damages, shortages, pricing errors, and purchase order discrepancies., • Prepare vendor debit notes and claims with the appropriate supporting documentation, and follow up on outstanding issues., • Review and document vendor chargebacks and ensure applicable rebates are generated., • Provide backup support for billing, including invoices and packing slips, as needed., • Maintain organized customer files, invoices, bills of lading, and receiving documentation., • Work with purchasing, warehouse, traffic, and other internal teams to resolve accounting and transaction issues. Payroll, Employee Records & Outside Providers • Prepare biweekly and monthly payroll using ADP., • Maintain employee records, PTO balances, salary information, and related HR documentation., • Coordinate with payroll providers, insurance brokers, benefits providers, and other outside service partners as needed. Accounting Systems & Internal Controls • Maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks, • Ensure consistency between the general ledger, aging reports, inventory records, and supporting documentation., • Identify and resolve discrepancies and help improve accounting procedures, recordkeeping, and internal controls. Position Overview JAZZ HOUSE KiDS is entering a new chapter of growth and expansion, with an annual operating budget of approximately $5 - $7 million and plans to expand its educational programs, performances, community impact, and multi-site operations, including its new Arts + Education Center. The organization seeks an accomplished, entrepreneurial, and highly hands-on Vice President of Finance to serve as its senior financial leader and help guide this next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the President + Founder, the VP of Finance is a key member of the executive leadership team and works closely with the Vice President of Operations + Administration, department leaders, and the Board of Directors. This is a true roll-up-your-sleeves executive role: in addition to developing financial strategy and advising leadership, the VP is deeply involved in day-to-day financial operations, including reporting, cash flow, payroll, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and financial systems. The VP oversees accounting, treasury, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, grant compliance, internal controls, and financial planning, while providing financial leadership for signature programs, including the award-winning MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL. With two direct reports and responsibility for the organization's external accounting partner and other financial service providers, the VP will strengthen financial infrastructure, improve reporting, implement scalable systems, and build a finance function capable of supporting continued growth. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable advising the President and Board, developing sophisticated financial models, and personally completing the accounting work necessary to ensure accurate and reliable financial management in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial nonprofit environment. Primary Responsibilities Financial Leadership, Planning + Strategy • Financial Strategy + Planning: Serve as the senior financial advisor to the President + Founder, leading annual operating and capital budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning in support of organizational priorities and sustainability., • Financial Analysis + Reporting: Analyze financial performance, budget-to-actual variances, and key trends, and provide clear financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making., • Executive + Board Support: Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and decision support to the President + Founder, executive leadership, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees, including business planning, negotiations, and special initiatives., • Program + Department Planning: Partner with Development, Arts, Operations, and program leaders to develop financially sustainable plans and assess the financial impact of new initiatives, partnerships, and investments., • Team + Cross-Departmental Leadership: Lead and develop finance staff while fostering strong collaboration across departments and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement., • Systems + Process Improvement: Strengthen financial systems, reporting capabilities, and operational processes through technology, automation, and streamlined workflows. Accounting + Financial Operations • Accounting Oversight: Oversee all accounting operations in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards, including the general ledger, chart of accounts, journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, and reconciliations., • Financial Close + Reporting: Manage monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and complete supporting documentation., • Accounts Payable + Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing, collection, and accurate recording of organizational revenue across partnerships, grants and contracts, tuition and program fees, sponsorships, performances, and other earned revenue., • Payroll + Budget Management: Oversee bi-weekly payroll, payroll tax compliance, benefits deductions, and reconciliations; monitor departmental spending to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets and organizational policies. Cash Flow + Treasury Management • Cash Flow + Liquidity: Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash positions and bank reconciliations to ensure adequate liquidity and support informed financial decision-making., • Cash + Investment Management: Strategically manage operating, reserve, set-aside, and money market accounts to optimize interest earnings while maintaining sufficient operating cash., • Restricted Funds + Working Capital: Monitor unrestricted, self-restricted, and donor-restricted funds and provide proactive recommendations regarding cash management, working capital, and the use of restricted resources., • Banking + Debt Management: Manage banking relationships and electronic banking activity, including organizational debt, corporate credit cards, and lines of credit., • Signature Programs: Oversee the financial management of signature programs and events, ensuring revenues, expenses, and cash flow remain aligned with organizational goals. Compliance + Audit + Internal Controls • Audit + Regulatory Compliance: Lead the annual independent audit and coordinate IRS Form 990, ST-50 Sales & Use Tax, NJ DCA Charities Registration, and other required filings., • Internal Controls + Financial Policies: Develop and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures that promote accuracy, accountability, and compliance., • Grant + Contract Compliance: Monitor compliance with grant restrictions, contracts, and funding agreements., • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements that strengthen financial reporting, operational efficiency, and organizational accountability. Preferred Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred., • Financial Leadership Experience: 5–7 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including significant nonprofit finance and fund accounting experience, preferably within a $5M+ organization., • Accounting + Financial Expertise: Thorough knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting, with demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, annual audits, and Form 990 preparation., • Financial Systems + Technology: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and at least five years of experience with QuickBooks Online and other financial management systems; ADP experience preferred., • Payroll + Operations: Experience overseeing payroll administration, payroll-related compliance, and financial operations., • Analytical + Strategic Leadership: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for non-financial leaders., • Communication + Collaboration: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with executive and Board-level stakeholders., • Professionalism + Integrity: High level of integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to the mission of JAZZ HOUSE KiDS. As the General Manager, you will manage all daily operations within our Mount Kisco family entertainment center which includes karting, bowling, a large arcade, a Ninja course, private event bookings and a full-service bar and restaurant. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The General Manager is responsible for ensuring that the center is run according to required K1 Speed standards with a heavy focus on the safety & well-being of our guests. The General Manager holds their Salaried and Hourly Staff accountable, coaching and developing them to be ready for the next level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Staffing duties including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating, • Ensure facility complies with all OSHA guidelines as required in their location (varies from state to state), • Cash handling duties including preparation of tills, change fund maintenance, and preparation of deposits, • Ensure State Health inspection guidelines are completed, and in compliance with state regulations, • Ensure all State and Federal Permits and Licenses for the facility are up to date and in compliance, • Ensure Alcohol ordinance for your state is followed, to include retention of staff permits in accordance with State and Federal regulations., • Complete monthly retention of all work-related documentation, • Provide Corporate with all company invoices, to include all vendors, • Ensuring that cashier personnel adhere to correct cash handling procedures and sell effectively, • Ensuring that track personnel run races safely, efficiently and professionally, • Complete Manager Objectives each day as required in the companies Intranet, • Ensuring that mechanic personnel maintain our karts in peak working condition, • Ensuring that all staff are strictly adhering to company policies and providing outstanding customer service, • Corresponding with and providing regular reports to corporate office personnel, • Expanding the marketing and promotional presence of K1 Speed, • Maintaining the effective operational feasibility of the center, • Maintaining the highest standard of facility appearance, • Oversees the day- to-day operations within the policies and guidelines set forth by K1 Speed., • Identify on a regular basis their opportunities and creates an action plan to increase the performance level to the required K1 standard, • Ensures that their location has the proper staffing level to maximize the employee and guest experience., • Over sees weekly inventories of each location per company standards., • Maintain a professional K1 image including the Paddock lounge cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards., • Ensures their location is keeping food cost, part costs and labor costs (hours) at or below K1 acceptable standards., • Ensures their location is consistently following the guidelines for private party events, • Provide timely information to sales team and Director or sales in-order to help book parties., • Understands and makes sure that each management team member follows all cash handling procedures including safe maintenance, deposits and all banking functions., • Responds to customer service needs to provide the highest standards of service within 24hours., • Executes weekly and monthly Marketing promotions to build the brand and generate revenue., • Works with their Team to review scheduling and effectiveness of all Marketing promotional hours and outings., • Maintains great relationships with all vendors and notifies the Regional Managers of any vendor issues., • Complete HR related (documentation, completing written warnings, promotions, demotions, pay changes, etc.) administrative duties accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies., • Ensures their Team is providing a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents., • Represents the K1 image at all company and community events (local businesses, organizations and media)., • Ensures their Team is properly training staff and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions based on the K1 standards., • Ensures their Team is correctly on-boarding each new hire according to K1 standards., • Ensures compliance on all wage and hour standards according to the city, state, federal and company guidelines., • Practice the K1 Speed open door policy at all times., • Provide reports to their Regional Manager regarding the operations of their location., • Oversee activities to increase sales goals for your locations, • Evaluate management performance in accordance to K1 standards., • Complete financial reporting and analysis for COG and other MCP’s set forth by the Regional Manger, • Ensure the location is adhering to the K1 Battery Program SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Job Knowledge – Able to learn new skills and maintain up-to-date job-related information.
