Job DescriptionJob Title: AssemblerJob Description This role involves assembling a variety of products, from simple electrical cords to complex mobile generator systems, using point-to-point wiring and basic hand tools. You will work in a fast-paced production environment where attention to detail, reliability, and a strong willingness to learn are essential. You will collaborate closely with the assembly team and report to the assembly supervisor to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Assemble products ranging from electrical cords to mobile generator systems according to specifications and work instructions., • Perform point-to-point wiring to connect components accurately and safely., • Strip wires using appropriate tools to prepare them for connections and terminations., • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives to complete assembly tasks., • Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and completeness, ensuring all connections and assemblies meet required standards., • Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and output targets., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with workplace safety guidelines., • Communicate effectively with the assembly supervisor and team members to resolve issues and improve processes., • Adapt to different product builds and tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills., • Document any issues, discrepancies, or defects encountered during assembly and report them promptly.Essential Skills, • Hands-on experience with point-to-point wiring in an assembly or production environment., • Ability to strip wires safely and accurately using appropriate tools., • Proficiency with basic hand tools including screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring, assembly, and quality workmanship., • Demonstrated reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality., • Flexibility to handle different tasks, products, and priorities within the assembly process., • Willingness to learn and follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines., • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in electrical assembly, production, or manufacturing environments is beneficial., • Comfort working with electrical components and understanding basic electrical concepts., • Ability to read and interpret basic measurements using a tape measure., • Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement., • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production and assembly environment where you will work with electrical components, wiring, and hand tools on a daily basis. The position operates on a shift schedule, with a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work at assembly stations or benches, using tools such as screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives, and will be expected to follow safety procedures and maintain an organized workspace. The setting is hands-on and task-focused, with regular interaction with supervisors and team members to coordinate work and ensure consistent quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.70/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
