Enterprise Account Executive (Contract) Des Moines preferred | Enterprise AI | Insurance & Regulated Industries About Trussed AI Trussed AI helps enterprises control what AI can see, say, do, and build. Our platform provides a control point across enterprise AI, giving organizations a consistent way to access and route across models and AI services, manage usage and cost, enforce policies in real time, and capture transaction-level evidence of what actually happened. As AI moves from assisting employees to taking actions inside business workflows, companies need more than policies and periodic reviews. They need infrastructure that simplifies AI access while providing runtime controls, traceability, and evidence. Trussed is building that infrastructure for regulated enterprises. We are backed by regulated-industry investors, with enterprise customers and a strong focus on insurance, financial services, and healthcare. The Role We’re looking for an Enterprise Account Executive (Contract) who can independently source, develop, and close enterprise opportunities. This is not a “wait for leads” role. You’ll build pipeline, open doors, run full-cycle enterprise sales, and work directly with the founders on strategic accounts. We have a strong preference for someone in the Des Moines area, particularly candidates with relationships across the insurance ecosystem. For the right person, this can develop into a larger full-time role as Trussed scales. What You’ll Own • Originate, develop, and close large enterprise opportunities, • Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, your network, industry relationships, and partners, • Focus primarily on insurance, with opportunities in financial services and healthcare, • Navigate complex sales involving CIO, CTO, CISO, AI/Data, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Procurement stakeholders, • Identify business problems where AI runtime controls, transaction-level evidence, AI liability, or AI security create urgency, • Develop partner and co-sell opportunities, • Work directly with the founders to refine messaging, use cases, and our enterprise sales motion Who You Are • A proven enterprise seller who has personally sourced and closed meaningful enterprise deals, • Experienced selling into insurance, financial services, healthcare, or another regulated industry, • Comfortable creating pipeline rather than depending on an established inbound or SDR engine, • Able to manage a deal from first conversation through technical evaluation, procurement, and close, • Comfortable selling an emerging category where customer education and discovery matter, • Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable operating in an early-stage company, • Strong at navigating multiple stakeholders within large enterprises Strong preference: Existing relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, technology providers, or other participants in the insurance ecosystem. Big Plus • Experience selling AI infrastructure, model/API platforms, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, cybersecurity, data platforms, or AI governance, • Familiarity with LLMs, model APIs, AI gateways, model routing, usage management, or AI developer infrastructure, • Relationships with insurance technology and executive buyers, • Experience building partner or channel-led enterprise opportunities, • Comfortable using modern sales and AI tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, ChatGPT, and Claude Why Trussed AI • Join an early-stage company backed by regulated-industry investors, • Sell into one of the biggest shifts happening in enterprise technology: AI moving from experimentation to business-critical actions, • Work on emerging problems including agentic AI, transaction-level AI controls, AI liability, and runtime policy enforcement, • Direct access to founders and enterprise customers, • High ownership over accounts, pipeline, and deals, • Opportunity to transition from contract to full-time based on performance and mutual fit If you enjoy opening doors, figuring out complex enterprise problems, and closing deals rather than simply managing an existing pipeline, we’d like to hear from you. Send us a short note about your enterprise sales experience and a link to your LinkedIn profile.
