Position Overview: HEAF is seeking compassionate, energetic, and organized SEL & Wellness Coaches to support social-emotional learning (SEL), wellness programming, and student, family, and community engagement initiatives within the Community Wellness Department. This hands-on, relationship-centered role helps students and families feel connected, empowered, and emotionally supported while guiding students to build resilience, recognize their strengths, and thrive. SEL & Wellness Coaches will facilitate afterschool SEL & Wellness classes through HEAF Achieve, support school-day SEL, wellness, and academic workshops through HEAF Inspire, and contribute to the Youth Leadership & Ambassador Program. Coaches will conduct student academic and wellness check-ins and supportive counseling sessions, assist with family and community event planning, and provide support with program planning, documentation, and administrative tasks. Specific responsibilities may vary based on program needs, schedules, and individual strengths. The SEL & Wellness Coaches report directly to the Director of Community Wellness Initiatives. Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary (Sept 2026 – May 2027) Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week. Coaches must be available for during afterschool programming on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons/evenings. Additional hours may include school-day workshops, student wellness check-ins, planning, meetings, family engagement activities, the Youth Leadership & Ambassador Program, and occasional Saturday events. Coaches must also have availability on Mondays and Thursdays based on program needs and scheduling. Compensation applies only to hours worked and does not cover school or program breaks. Compensation: $25/hour Hybrid: In-person + remote with $50 paid orientation in September Specific responsibilities may vary based on program needs, with coaches collaborating and sharing responsibilities across Community Wellness initiatives. What You’ll Do: Program Facilitation & SEL Support: • Build trusting relationships with students (grades 6–12), families, and school partners., • Serve as a positive role model and trusted adult by fostering a safe, welcoming, and strengths-based environment., • Facilitate engaging, trauma-informed SEL & Wellness classes through HEAF Achieve (primarily Tuesdays & Wednesdays), promoting skill development and a positive classroom culture., • Facilitate academic, SEL, and wellness workshops for HEAF Inspire school-day partners and HEAF Onward programming, as assigned., • Support and/or lead the Youth Leadership & Ambassador Program, facilitating weekly leadership sessions and community impact projects., • Conduct student wellness check-ins and provide one-on-one supportive counseling using restorative and evidence-based practices., • Support students through wellness planning, goal setting, progress monitoring, referrals, and case management as needed., • Support positive student behavior, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution while responding to behavioral and crisis situations according to HEAF protocols., • Provide family wellness support and promote engagement through strengths-based outreach and resources., • Collaborate with instructors, program staff, families, and community partners to integrate SEL and wellness practices throughout programming., • Ensure all programming reflects equity, inclusivity, and cultural responsiveness. Family & Community Engagement: • Support the Director in planning and implementing family engagement activities, wellness events, and community initiatives., • Conduct outreach to promote Community Wellness events and initiatives., • Assist in building partnerships with businesses & community organizations to expand resources, referrals, and programming opportunities. Program Support & Data Management: • Prepare classrooms, technology, and materials for workshops, classes, and events., • Support curriculum development and adapt lessons to meet student needs., • Provide administrative and operational support for Community Wellness programming, including preparing materials, organizing supplies, creating resources, maintaining inventories, and supporting program operations., • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation of student wellness check-ins, counseling sessions, referrals, case notes, and program data., • Track attendance, survey data, and program outcomes to support evaluation and reporting. Other Responsibilities: • Participate in biweekly supervision with the Director and monthly departmental and all-staff meetings., • Attend internal and external professional development opportunities., • Provide occasional support to other Program and Development Teams, including agency-wide events., • Perform additional duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field., • Strong understanding of SEL frameworks, trauma-informed care, and adolescent development., • Experience working with youth and families in educational, clinical, or community-based settings., • Experience developing or facilitating SEL, life skills, leadership, or youth enrichment programming preferred., • Skilled in group facilitation, classroom management, and delivering engaging SEL and wellness activities., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, strengths-based approach., • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Knowledge of youth development strategies, cultural competency, social justice, and inclusivity., • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) and Canva preferred., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team., • Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends., • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. As we continue to scale our CPG business across retail channels nationwide, this role is critical to ensuring our products move efficiently, on time, and on budget from our production facility to distributors, retail partners, and DTC fulfillment centers. Beyond freight, this role owns CPG inventory management end to end, weeks of supply (WOS) tracking, on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance at retailers, and inventory transfers across our 3PL network and supports our scoop shop business through 3PL inventory management, intercompany freight coordination, and logistics cost management and controls. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of operations, vendor management, and customer service. You'll work closely with our production, sales, and finance teams to coordinate domestic freight movements, manage carrier relationships, manage inventory health across our distributor and 3PL network, and help build the logistics infrastructure that supports Van Leeuwen's next stage of growth. This role will be based out of our Bronx office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model and be in office at least two to three days a week. Job Responsibilities • CPG Inventory Management, • Own CPG finished goods inventory visibility and accuracy across the network — production facility, 3PL warehouses, distributors, and DTC fulfillment centers, • Manage weeks of supply (WOS) by SKU and location at distributors and retailers, monitoring sell-through and flagging out-of-stock and overstock risks before they impact service or margin, • Plan and execute inventory transfers between 3PL warehouses, distributors, and fulfillment centers to balance stock, meet demand, and minimize freight and storage costs, • Reconcile 3PL and WMS inventory records against the ERP, investigating discrepancies, shrink, and damaged or short-dated product and driving root-cause resolution, • Report inventory KPIs (WOS, fill rate, inventory accuracy, aging) on a weekly cadence with clear recommendations for rebalancing or replenishment, • Freight & Transportation Management, • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements across LTL, FTL, and refrigerated transport for CPG retail and distributor accounts, • Book and manage shipments with carriers and 3PL partners, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery, • Track shipments in real time and proactively communicate delays or disruptions to internal stakeholders and retail partners, • Manage freight claims from initiation to resolution, including documentation and carrier follow-up, • Ensure all shipments meet temperature and cold chain compliance standards required for frozen CPG products, • Distributor & Retail Compliance, • Coordinate order fulfillment for key retail accounts (grocery, natural, club, and specialty channels), ensuring compliance with retailer routing guides and vendor requirements, • Manage ASN creation and EDI coordination with retail partners and distributors, • Monitor and reduce chargebacks and deductions related to logistics non-compliance, • Manage OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance at retail partners — monitor retailer scorecards, perform root-cause analysis on misses, and implement corrective actions to minimize fines and protect vendor standing, • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of retailer-specific routing, labeling, and scheduling requirements, • Vendor & Carrier Relations, • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, brokers, and 3PL partners, • Solicit and evaluate freight quotes, supporting cost optimization across the supply chain, • Assist in identifying and onboarding new logistics partners as the network scales, • Scoop Shop Supply Chain Support, • Manage 3PL inventory and weeks of supply (WOS) for the scoop shop business, ensuring product availability for shops while minimizing excess, aged, and short-dated stock, • Coordinate intercompany freight between production facilities, 3PL warehouses, and scoop shop distribution points, ensuring on-time, temperature-compliant, and cost-effective deliveries, • Own cost management and controls for scoop shop logistics — track freight and storage spend against budget, audit carrier and 3PL invoices, flag variances, and identify savings opportunities, • Support intercompany inventory transfers and reconciliation between the CPG and scoop shop businesses, ensuring accurate intercompany records in the ERP, • Operations & Reporting, • Maintain accurate records of all shipments, freight costs, and carrier performance in TMS and ERP systems, • Generate regular freight spend and performance reports, identifying trends and cost-saving opportunities, • Collaborate with production and inventory planning teams to align shipment scheduling with production output and inventory availability, • Support month-end close by reconciling freight invoices and accruals Job Requirements • 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, inventory management, or supply chain, preferably within CPG, food & beverage, or perishable goods, • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred, • Familiarity with LTL, FTL, and refrigerated freight operations, • Experience working with distributors and retail accounts (UNFI, KeHE, DPI, or similar a plus), • Working knowledge of routing guides, EDI, and ASN processes, • Proficiency in TMS, ERP, or WMS platforms; NetSuite or SAP experience a plus, • Hands-on experience managing inventory KPIs: WOS, OTIF, fill rate, and inventory accuracy, including root-cause analysis and corrective action follow-through, • Experience managing inventory at third-party (3PL) warehouses, including transfers, reconciliations, and cycle count support, • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups) for inventory, freight, and cost analysis and reporting, • Familiarity with freight budgeting, invoice auditing, and cost controls;
