Role Overview As a Founding AI Engineer, you’ll build the agent at the center of River’s product: how it listens, reasons through a conversation, uses tools, navigates a browser, and responds when a buyer interrupts, changes direction, or asks an unexpected question. We share articles, research, and videos, and our meetings include case reviews, new evidence, and teaching. We ask a lot from our PTs. We invest a lot in them too. We expect you to grow as a therapist and take ownership of your patient outcomes. This isn’t for everyone, and we want you to know exactly what you’re signing up for. What the job actually looks like You’ll typically see 10–16 visits per day, including about one evaluation. Patients are scheduled every 20 minutes for roughly hour-long visits, so yes, visits overlap. Our therapists average about 2 visits per hour over the course of a week. We have no techs or aides, and we don’t share patients between therapists. You own your caseload from evaluation through discharge. Our population is predominantly high function orthopedic and sports patients, with relatively few high-complexity or gait and balance cases. (think suburban weekend warriors and their families) Our clinic is designed to make this model efficient and effective. We block additional time when a patient needs it. We work on elevators and escalators, industrial motor drives, UPS systems, EV chargers and solar inverters. Our Clifton, NJ facility handles component-level repair of circuit boards, drives, encoders and power conversion equipment. We also build UL-508A certified control panels and engineer retrofit upgrades for aging systems. Many of the boards we repair are obsolete or no longer supported by the original manufacturer.
