Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for troubleshooting and performing major mechanical repairs with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance of equipment on site, including motors and refrigeration rooms to maximize up time. Training of staff as required and coordinating with other mechanics on duty for repairs and ensuring all assigned work is timely completed. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical components., • Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, technical manuals, PLC diagnostics, and testing equipment., • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment., • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, VFDs, and industrial controls., • Install, maintain, and replace electrical components including:, • 3-phase motors, • VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), • Motor starters, • Power supplies, • Relays and contactors, • Proximity sensors and photo eyes, • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and OEM documentation., • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems., • Maintain conveyor systems, packaging equipment, and automated production machinery., • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation through the CMMS system., • Coordinate repairs with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime., • Communicate with equipment manufacturers and vendors as needed for technical support., • Follow all OSHA, food safety, GMP, and company safety requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:, • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
