Responsibilities: • Support and execute the startup and commissioning plan from construction turnover through final handoff to operations., • Follow and apply MPC's lock-out/tag-out procedures during the transition from construction to commissioning until turnover to the client., • Ensure startup and commissioning deliverables are met in accordance with site-specific procedures, project schedules, contract requirements, and safety protocols., • Review engineering drawings and specifications to confirm adequate provisions for flushing, cleaning, testing, and other pre-commissioning activities., • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations to confirm that equipment and services provided through subcontracts meet project specifications during and after commissioning., • Facilitate and support OEM and vendor training sessions for client personnel, including plant operations and maintenance teams., • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendor representatives during start-up, commissioning, and performance testing activities., • Organize and lead daily start-up Plan of the Day (POD) meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes., • Support the system turnover process by scheduling and participating in system walkdowns and initial system operations., • Maintain daily logs of operational, maintenance, and safety activities including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment issues and resolution., • Coordinate commissioning-related subcontractor support and field labor in collaboration with site construction management. Qualifications: Work Experience and Education: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, • 5+ years of experience in testing and commissioning projects., • Experience in commissioning mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers., • Understanding of utility systems (water, fuel, steam), electrical distribution systems, PLCs, DCS platforms, and rotating equipment (e.g., boilers, turbines)., • Working knowledge of safety regulations, testing protocols, project schedules, and commissioning milestones., • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system control narratives.
