Job DescriptionDescription: Product Manager Healthcare Technology & Hospice DME Solutions Position Summary The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery, quality, and continuous improvement of healthcare technology solutions that support hospice providers, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) operations, and healthcare interoperability initiatives. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, hospice care teams, customers, and the software engineering organization. The position emphasizes product quality, Agile delivery, process excellence, user acceptance, and customer satisfaction while supporting the development of healthcare software platforms, integrations, and workflow automation solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Product Ownership, and Hospice DME operations, enabling them to effectively guide software initiatives from concept through release while ensuring solutions meet operational, clinical, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities for product manager • Develop and maintain quality assurance processes, testing standards, and release validation procedures., • Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for software applications and healthcare integrations., • Coordinate functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and production readiness testing activities., • Validate software solutions against business requirements, workflow expectations, and customer needs., • Establish quality metrics and reporting processes to monitor application performance and product quality., • Ensure software releases meet established standards for reliability, security, usability, and performance., • Identify product defects, prioritize remediation efforts, and collaborate with development teams to ensure resolution., • Facilitate root cause analysis for production issues and recommend process improvements., • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives., • Help development teams adopt and maintain Agile best practices., • Remove impediments that impact team productivity and delivery timelines., • Track sprint progress and communicate delivery risks, dependencies, and status updates to stakeholders., • Promote continuous improvement within engineering, product, and operational teams., • Foster collaboration, accountability, and transparency across the organization., • Support planning and execution of software releases and product deployments., • Monitor team velocity, sprint performance, and delivery metrics to improve predictability and efficiency., • Work with stakeholders to define product goals, priorities, and business requirements., • Translate business and operational needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria., • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer impact., • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented., • Validate completed development work against business objectives and acceptance criteria., • Participate in product roadmap planning and prioritization activities. Hospice Care Team Collaboration • Partner closely with hospice nurses, care coordinators, administrators, intake teams, customer service teams, and operational leadership to understand workflow challenges., • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and workflow reviews with hospice customers., • Represent the voice of the customer throughout the development lifecycle., • Ensure software solutions support patient-centered care delivery and operational efficiency., • Identify opportunities to improve equipment ordering, scheduling, delivery management, inventory control, billing workflows, and patient service processes., • Coordinate user acceptance testing with hospice stakeholders and end users. Software Release & Delivery Management • Coordinate release planning, release validation, and production deployment activities., • Establish go-live readiness standards and implementation checklists., • Verify documentation, training materials, and support procedures are complete prior to release., • Monitor post-release performance and customer feedback., • Collaborate with support and engineering teams to rapidly address production issues. Healthcare Integration Quality Management • Validate healthcare interoperability solutions involving APIs, HL7 messaging, and data exchange workflows., • Coordinate testing of integrations involving Epic, Netsmart, MatrixCare, Hospice Tools, and other healthcare platforms., • Ensure accurate, secure, and compliant transmission of clinical, patient, operational, and billing data., • Verify integration data quality and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies., • Support implementation and customer onboarding activities. Continuous Improvement • Develop and track KPIs related to quality, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency., • Identify opportunities to automate testing and improve software delivery processes., • Maintain documentation standards and process governance., • Support organizational quality initiatives and process improvement programs., • Drive continuous improvements across development, testing, implementation, and support functions. Preferred Qualifications for product manager • 5+ years of experience in the Hospice Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry., • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification., • Experience with healthcare software, interoperability, and healthcare integrations., • Experience supporting software testing and validation of healthcare integrations., • Familiarity with HL7, REST APIs, Mirth Connect, and healthcare data exchange technologies., • Understanding of hospice operations, DME logistics, inventory management, billing, reimbursement, and compliance requirements., • Experience working directly with hospice clinical teams and operational leadership.
