Responsible for operating X-ray equipment that produces radiographs designated areas of the body for diagnostic purposes. Assists physicians in performing the imaging procedures, reviews and correlates patients' previous reports, and acts as a point of contact for various medical departments. Ensures proper documentation during the exam as required. Performs specimen imaging when necessary and ensures that the specimens are sent to pathology with proper labeling. The Field Auto Damage Appraiser is responsible for preparing physical damage estimates on vehicles where a claim has been submitted for first- or third-party damages. This role requires delivering a high level of customer service while effectively managing claim severity and expenses. This position supports the Independent Agent business of Plymouth Rock and services Brooklyn & Queens, NY territory. The appraiser works independently in the field inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing estimates, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines and applicable state regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES • Inspect vehicle damage and prepare repair estimates for partial and total losses within assigned authority levels., • Negotiate settlements with repair & tow facilities, insureds, and claimants., • Issue claim drafts to appropriate parties., • Document claim activity and maintain accurate claim files., • Complete re-inspections and supplemental estimates in accordance with company guidelines., • Adhere to production standards and estimating procedures., • Maintain strong customer service, expense control, and professional public relations., • Complete investigative reports as required., • Participate in team meetings and departmental initiatives., • Ensure compliance with privacy standards and NY Regulations (Regulation 64, etc.), • Assist with catastrophe claim handling when requested, which may include overnight travel or extended assignments, or assisting in neighboring territories. The Virtual Auto Estimator/Appraiser will complete estimates from photos or video submitted by customers and/or body shops. The Virtual Auto Estimator will use this information to process claims payments as necessary. This role must report to our Uniondale, NY office 4 days per week and can work remotely 1 day per week. The Sr. Claims Representative, Appraiser is responsible for preparing physical damage estimates on vehicles where a claim has been submitted for first or third party damages. The party will be required to provide a high level of customer service while utilizing measures to control severities. This role would cover, but is not limited to the Bronx, Westchester, Rockland Counties, and Northern NJ.
