    Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn

ABOUT LIGHT SWITCH Light Switch is a neighborhood coffee and bar concept in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. We run as a specialty coffee counter during the day and transition into a warm, craft beer, wine-and-spritz social space in the evenings. Same team, same room, different energy. We are small, intentional, and care deeply about how people feel when they walk through our door — and when they leave. THE ROLE Lead Hosts are the backbone of Light Switch. You will anchor shifts across both sides of the day, dialing in espresso in the morning and running beverage service in the evening — while setting the standard for the team around you. You have worked with coffee as well as experienced in night time hospitality and comfortable making drinks, serving tables and running a busy evening floor. But beyond the craft, you are the kind of person who genuinely lights up when a guest walks in. You remember names. You make people feel welcome without being performative about it. You bring a positive energy to the shift that the whole team feels — and you hold that standard even when it is busy, even at the end of a long day. In Year 1, you will work closely with the owners and help shape what Light Switch feels like to work in and to visit. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Give every guest a genuine, warm welcome — and mean it every time, • Open or close the space and execute full setup and breakdown for coffee or evening service, • Dial in espresso, prepare filter and batch coffee, and maintain equipment to specialty standards, • Run evening beverage service: beer, wine, spritzes, and low-ABV offerings, • Train and support Hospitality Hosts on coffee standards, technique, and on-the-job skills, • Hold the floor during your shift — keeping pace, quality, and energy where they need to be, • Support food handoffs and light assembly during busy periods, • Keep the space clean, compliant, and welcoming from open to close WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR • A natural with people — warm, present, and genuinely happy to be there. Guests should feel it the moment they walk in, • The kind of person who brings positivity to a team without being told to — your energy sets the tone for the shift, • Trained barista with 2+ years of specialty coffee experience — you know how to dial in, and you can teach others to do the same, • Comfortable behind a bar: beer and wine knowledge, genuine hospitality instincts, • A natural at on-the-job coaching — patient, clear, and consistent with standards, • Calm under pressure and able to hold a shift without micromanaging, • Reliable, detail-oriented, and energized by helping build something from the ground up, • Available for some evening and weekend shifts, • NYC Food Handler Certification (or willing to obtain before start date)

Full job description Healthy Heart Foods is seeking an experienced, hands-on Fleet Manager to oversee our commercial delivery fleet. We are looking for someone who understands trucks, drivers, maintenance, and the day-to-day challenges of keeping a busy delivery fleet on the road. Candidates must have commercial truck driving experience and be willing and able to drive company trucks when needed. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation and readiness of the company vehicle fleet. Take full ownership of all vehicle maintenance, repairs, breakdowns, towing, and rentals. Who We’re Looking For We want someone who takes ownership of the fleet. The right person knows which trucks are operational, which need service, when inspections are due, which vehicles are in the shop, when they are coming back, and whether a rental is needed. When a truck breaks down, we don’t want someone who simply reports the problem. We want someone who takes responsibility for solving it and keeping the operation moving.
