Position Overview We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join the Industrial team and lead water and wastewater construction projects in the Austin market. This person will own assigned projects from planning and kickoff through execution and closeout, with direct accountability for schedule, budget, profitability, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and team performance. The role is best suited for an experienced construction Project Manager who understands how a project moves from estimate and contract review through field execution, billing, forecasting, and final turnover. What This Person Will Own • Project financials. Own project profit and loss, budgets, forecasts, job-cost reporting, cash-flow planning, billing projections, and cost-to-complete updates., • Planning and startup. Review contracts, estimates, drawings, specifications, staffing plans, safety requirements, material needs, schedules, and project risks before mobilization., • Schedule execution. Build and manage construction, labor, procurement, material-release, billing, and closeout schedules while identifying critical-path activities., • Field and office coordination. Partner with preconstruction, estimating, purchasing, workforce development, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders., • Procurement and documentation. Manage quotations, bills of materials, major purchase orders, shop drawings, test reports, record drawings, action lists, and project files., • Change management. Identify scope changes and prepare accurate change-order proposals, pricing, documentation, and customer communication., • Customer ownership. Serve as a trusted point of contact, maintain account satisfaction, solve issues quickly, and identify future project opportunities., • Team leadership. Select and support key supervisory personnel, evaluate performance, address deficiencies, and keep labor execution aligned with the budget., • Project reviews. Lead milestone reviews at 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%, and 100% completion for applicable projects and conduct monthly reviews for large-scale work., • Closeout. Drive punch-list completion, final inspections, billing, retainage, collections, warranty items, returns, open commitments, record documents, and O&M manuals. Must-Have Qualifications • 5+ years of Project Manager experience in electrical construction or a closely related construction environment., • Experience independently managing construction schedules and project budgets., • End-to-end understanding of the construction process, from project handoff and startup through execution and closeout., • Experience owning projects valued at approximately $8M or more., • Ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, specifications, estimates, and project requirements., • Working knowledge of job-cost forecasting, purchasing, change orders, billing, labor planning, and project documentation., • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment., • Strong communication, judgment, accountability, and team-first professionalism., • Stable and explainable employment history., • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving-record requirements for job-site travel. Preferred Qualifications • Electrical construction experience involving industrial facilities, water/wastewater treatment, utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, or other technically complex projects., • Water or wastewater project experience., • Field leadership experience as an electrician, foreman, superintendent, or electrical supervisor., • Experience with Procore; the company also uses Spectrum for financials, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and internal job-cost tools., • Experience leading project engineers, Assistant Project Managers, field supervisors, or other direct reports., • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, electrical systems, materials, purchasing practices, and construction accounting concepts.
