Job Description Summary Streetwork Project is an innovative outreach-counseling program for homeless youth in Harlem, which utilizes a harm reduction approach providing comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults impacted by homelessness and involved in street activities (gangs, violence, drug use/sale and survival sex). The Youth Services Navigator will promote access to harm reduction supplies and services at Streetwork’s Drop-In Center, with a focus on LGBTQ youth and youth of color at risk of SUDs Youth Services Navigators (YSN) will facilitate and conduct one-on-one harm reduction goal setting intervention for drug using clients. Youth Services Navigators will provide overdose prevention and response trainings for drug users. POSITION SUMMARY: The Next Step Resource and Recovery Center opportunities for people in all stages and forms of recovery to deliver and attend individual and group support activities, initiate, and conduct outreach, and events celebrating recovery and reducing stigma associated with substance use. The Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and hosts several services including Recovery Center peer-driven individual and group recovery services, counseling and case management, overdose prevention services, harm reduction, and recovery-oriented community outreach, education, and the Training Institute at CHASI. Job Description: Broadway Community seeks applicants for its newly created psychotherapist position. This is a full-time, fully in-person position and a three-year, grant-funded role, with current funding in place for the full grant period. The psychotherapist will be principally responsible for providing individual psychotherapy, completing clinical evaluations as part of New York City's 2010e supportive housing process, and leading clinical support groups. At launch, this role is grant-funded rather than insurance-supported and is not initially tied to insurance billing productivity requirements. Insurance billing may be introduced in year two or year three as the program develops. Organization Overview: Founded in 1982, Broadway Community’s mission is to serve as a bridge from crisis to stability for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, hunger, mental illness, and social isolation. Located on 114th Street and Broadway, we operate a robust continuum of care that includes a soup kitchen, a seven-night-a-week shelter, a food pantry, on-site medical services, showers, case management, supportive counseling, employment assistance, housing navigation, and more. Human Resources Operations Manager (Full-time) Position Summary The HR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, and manages all aspects of employee benefits administration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to the scheduled locations., • Arranges tables and decorations., • Sets buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to pre-established standards., • Serves food and beverages to guests., • Cleans and packs dishes and utensils, • Returns un-served foods and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to the Commissary., • Checks to ensure that all display foods are merchandised attractively according to pre-established standards., • Handles foods items appropriately during preparation., • Serves food neatly and attractively according to pre-established standards., • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service., • Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments., • Assists with food and table prep before events begin., • Serves plated dinners to guests and responds to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs., • Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Opens wine and takes drink orders., • Cleans up venue after event ends and assists with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks., • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds., • Must meet any applicable state and local health requirements for food handlers.
