    HVAC Service Technician Location: New York, Midtown Employment Type: Full-Time INNOVA is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician to support field service operations, complex technical troubleshooting, and warehouse-based repair and refurbishment. Key Responsibilities ● Perform HVAC inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, component replacements, adjustments, and performance testing. ● Lead or support pre-installation inspections, post-installation support, system start-ups, and technical issue resolution. ● Diagnose root causes and determine effective corrective actions. ● Serve as a senior technical resource and guide less-experienced technicians as needed. ● Support multi-technician projects involving equipment movement, staging, placement, and coordination. ● Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, supervisors, and internal teams. ● Follow all applicable codes, safety standards, company procedures, and customer-site requirements. Warehouse Operations ● Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, refurbishment, and testing of HVAC units and components. ● Identify defects, verify repair quality, and confirm equipment is ready for field deployment. ● Support equipment staging, preparation, packaging, tools, parts, and service inventory. ● Provide technical input on recurring issues, repair trends, equipment condition, and process improvements. ● Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to junior technicians. Documentation and Compliance ● Complete accurate service reports, job notes, inspection records, labor and parts records, photos, and corrective-action documentation in company systems and CRMs. ● Follow safety, reporting, recordkeeping, equipment handling, quality, and customer communication procedures. ● Escalate technical, safety, operational, or customer issues promptly. Qualifications ● 5-7 years of hands-on HVAC service experience. ● HVAC certification required. ● Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, electrical and mechanical components, diagnostics, and performance testing. ● Valid driver’s license. ● Ability to lift, move, and maneuver equipment safely. ● Ability to work independently in field, warehouse, and customer-site environments. ● Strong communication, organization, documentation, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
