Job DescriptionMaintenance Electrician (3rd Shift)Power a State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility Are you a skilled Maintenance Electrician who thrives on troubleshooting complex equipment and keeping production running at peak performance? We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our growing team in a modern manufacturing facility, supporting high-speed corrugating, printing, packaging, and automation equipment. What You'll Do As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the performance of our manufacturing equipment. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help drive operational excellence across the facility. Key Responsibilities • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed corrugating machinery, printing presses, die-cutting equipment, flexogluers, and packaging systems, • Troubleshoot and repair printing machinery to maximize uptime and production efficiency, • Conduct preventative maintenance activities, including lubrication, oiling, greasing, inspections, and equipment adjustments, • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation, • Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures and identify root causes to prevent recurring issues, • Troubleshoot electrical panels, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial control systems, • Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications on machinery and equipment, • Support PLC troubleshooting and automation systems to maintain operational reliability, • Utilize hand tools, power tools, volt meters, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively, • Complete general facility and building maintenance as needed, • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications, • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime, • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications, • 10+ years of industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, • 5+ years of experience working with automation equipment and PLC systems, • Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical panels and industrial control systems, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings, • Experience troubleshooting equipment to root cause and implementing corrective actions, • Hands-on experience with:, • PLC systems, • Motors, • Pneumatics, • Hydraulics, • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), • Electrical controls and power distribution systems, • Proficiency using electrical testing equipment, volt meters, hand tools, and power tools, • Experience supporting high-speed manufacturing equipmentPreferred Qualifications, • Trade school, technical training, or vocational education in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field, • Experience working with corrugating machinery, printing presses, die-cutting equipment, and flexogluers, • Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments, • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and technical documentation, • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, • Ability to work independently during off-shift hours while collaborating with a larger maintenance team, • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours as neededWhy Join Our Team? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
