Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to grow our K–12 school partnerships across the United States. The ideal candidate combines direct classroom experience with demonstrated sales or business-development experience. You understand how schools operate, can build credibility with educators and school leaders, and are comfortable prospecting, presenting, managing a pipeline, negotiating, and closing business. You will manage the full sales process from initial outreach and discovery through product demonstrations, free pilots, proposals, paid conversion, and customer handoff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence educational technology adoption and make a meaningful impact on student learning environments. What you'll do • Develop and execute strategic plans to identify, engage, and secure new K–12 private schools, charter schools, school networks, and public school districts through proactive outreach and warm calling strategies., • Build relationships with principals, superintendents, instructional leaders, technology leaders, and other decision-makers., • Conduct outbound prospecting through email, telephone, referrals, conferences, professional networks, and school visits., • Lead discovery calls, presentations, and virtual or in-person product demonstrations., • Explain Edves’s solutions, pricing, and implementation process, • Manage the commercial relationship throughout pilot and lead post-pilot conversion discussions., • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients by providing ongoing support, managing accounts effectively, and identifying opportunities for upselling or renewal., • Prepare proposals, negotiate within approved guidelines, and close annual subscriptions., • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, forecast, and customer information in the CRM., • Meet or exceed assigned sales and collected-revenue quotas., • Represent Edves at school meetings, conferences, networking events, and education-industry gatherings., • Collaborate with implementation, customer-success, and product teams to ensure a smooth customer experience., • Share school feedback, competitor insights, and market opportunities with company leadership., • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that increase brand awareness within the K–12 education market. What Success looks like • You build a consistent pipeline of qualified school opportunities., • You meet or exceed your annual sales quota., • Customers trust your knowledge of education and value your responsiveness., • Your CRM records and forecasts are accurate and dependable., • Newly acquired customers transition smoothly into onboarding and implementation., • Satisfied schools regularly provide referrals and introductions. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience., • At least two years of K–12 classroom teaching, instructional coaching, curriculum, or closely related school-based experience., • At least one year of sales, business development, partnerships, or another target-based commercial role., • Demonstrated ability to influence purchasing, partnership, enrollment, or revenue-related decisions., • Experience conducting presentations, discovery conversations, and professional follow-up., • Strong understanding of K–12 school operations and decision-making., • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, listening, and relationship-building skills., • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously., • Comfortable working with CRM systems, video-conferencing tools, presentations, and spreadsheets., • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25%–35% across the United States. Preferred Qualifications • Experience selling to schools, districts, charter networks, or education organizations., • Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales targets., • Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through contract and payment., • Familiarity with school procurement, budgeting, and approval processes., • Experience with classroom observation, instructional coaching, teacher development, or school improvement., • Existing relationships within K–12 education., • Experience launching school pilots or proof-of-concept programs., • Experience working in a startup or expanding business.
